Annual Educational Leadership Conference Awards

Applications for the $500 ELC scholarship are due by August 1, 2026 at Noon.

Please complete the online PACE-C Scholarship Application.

Purpose:
In recognition of the APTA’s Academy of Education position that physical therapy education is the responsibility of all Physical Therapists and Physical Therapist Assistants, the Philadelphia Area Clinical Education Consortium (PACEC) will award up to 3 clinicians planning to attend the Educational Leadership Conference (ELC) October 16-18, 2026 in Washington, DC.

Criteria:
The applicant should be a CI or SCCE who demonstrates a commitment to excellence in physical therapy and physical therapist or physical therapist assistant education.

Specifically, the applicant will be a member of the APTA and will have worked with students from the majority of academic programs within the PACEC (within the last 3 years). Candidates will be evaluated based on several factors including:

  1. Commitment to working with a variety of academic programs.
  2. History of working with students and ACCEs/DCEs to achieve successful outcomes for students who struggle or to motivate and challenge those who excel clinically.
  3. Demonstrated interest in bridging academic and clinical coursework.
  4. While being a member of our organization’s Professional Advisory Group (PAG) is not a prerequisite to being selected, as a condition to acceptance, the successful candidate will agree to serve as a member of the PAG for a period of at least 2 years. PAG participation requires minimal commitment and provides valuable advisory to area clinical education programs!
