Course Objectives:
At the end of this 2 day continuing education course, participants will be able to:
- Plan and prepare for students prior to and during their clinical education experiences.
- Develop effective learning experiences for students based upon students’ learning styles.
- Promote supportive learning environments.
- Effectively evaluate a student’s performance during clinical fieldwork.
- Identify appropriate strategies for managing the exceptional student.
- Gain insight as to understanding legal implications of clinical education.
Who Should Attend?
The Credentialed Clinical Instructor Program is beneficial for both novice and experienced clinical educators encompassing a variety of healthcare professions. Only physical therapy professionals will be allowed to receive formal credentialing from the American Physical Therapy Association.

Upon successful completion of the course and assessment center, APTA awards certificates for 16 contact hours (1.6 CEUs). Full participation and attendance is required.

Registration fee includes the two-day course, continental breakfast and lunch on both days, all handout materials, and the Assessment Center (only for PTs and PTAs).

REFUND POLICY: Individuals must cancel their registration and request a refund 72 hours prior to the start date of the course beginning and return the CCIP course manual. The amount of refund will be equivalent to the APTA portion of the registration fee only. Refund amounts less than $90.00 will be issued in the form of a credit voucher towards the purchase of any product from the APTA store or toward registration fees for courses or conferences (including the Advanced CCIP).
